How to

How to onboard new hires at a multi-location franchise

Standardize new-hire onboarding across every franchise location: build a reusable course, auto-assign on hire, deliver mobile-first, and track completion at HQ.

Step-by-step

  1. Build the onboarding course from your handbook

Upload your employee handbook, brand standards, and any role-specific SOPs to Aristotl. Generate one consolidated onboarding course covering brand history, expected behavior, role basics, and safety. Aristotl structures it into bite-sized modules with knowledge checks. Edit the welcome module to match your brand voice. Approve and publish to your course library.

  2. Set up auto-assignment on hire

In course settings, enable auto-assign on user creation, scoped to all locations and the relevant frontliner roles. When a franchise manager adds a new hire to their location's roster, Aristotl assigns the onboarding course automatically and sends the welcome email. No HQ ticket required. Set the completion deadline to first-shift-plus-7-days.

  3. Deliver on the device the hire already has

Aristotl is mobile-first browser-based - no app install, no app-store approval. The new hire opens the welcome email on their phone, taps the link, and starts their first module. Auto-translation matches the learner's language profile so non-English speakers train in their native language. They can pause and resume across shifts; progress syncs.

  4. Verify completion before the first solo shift

Franchise managers see each new hire's progress on their location dashboard, including which modules are done and quiz pass rates. Aristotl flags hires not yet complete before they're scheduled solo. HQ sees the rollup network-wide. Export onboarding completion as part of your monthly franchise compliance report - proof that every new frontliner trained before serving customers.
